UNDER DEVELOPMENT
At Radial Motion we are constantly exploring new ideas and developing new products, for clients and for our own product range. Many of these projects are confidential in nature: some examples are shown below.
MULTI-BANK, VEE & HYBRID ENGINES
Designing has begun on a series of variants of the Radial Motion engine, including multi-bank six and nine-cylinder versions, vee-twin, and electric hybrid models.
Applications include motorsport, custom street vehicles, commercial and recreational aviation, industry and defence.
SCOTCH YOKE ENGINE
The scotch yoke design converts the linear motion of the pistons to rotational motion via a sliding yoke rather than a traditional crankshaft. This new engine was designed by an Australian team as a sustainer engine for electric vehicles.
Radial Motion is working on development of components including the crank, sump, engine case and oil pump housing, utilising our extensive understanding of the engineering requirements of internal combustion engine manufacture.
INNOVATIVE INTAKES
We are currently working on an innovative throttle body design that can be used with electronic fuel injection systems or in traditional carburettor formats for motorsport and aviation applications.
The patent-pending design delivers uninterrupted airflow with no butterfly or other obstruction in the intake.
DEFENCE SOLUTIONS
Radial Motion is working on engine solutions for global military applications.
With our design expertise and manufacturing capability we are well placed to meet the needs of military contractors in both aviation and ground-based applications.
